In this two day workshop you will be introduced to the practice of Horsetail Embroidery and learn the history and skills required to produce your very own embroidery.
In the introduction you will learn a little about its history, tradition and meaning and look at some physical examples. You will then choose motifs to design your own story and learn the 6 basic steps to make your own piece. Preparing the base fabric, drawing the design, preparing threads, binding horsehair, couching the outline, and filling stitch.

The kit includes: fabrics, threads, horsehair, embroidery hoop, 3 needles, clippers, tweezers, cording, beads and a thimble.
